Sea Cormorants

North and inland, at Mabula Lodge I got a few photographs of some of these birds, they had very bright red eyes. You can see them HERE. I am told they are coastal rather than oceanic birds, and some have colonized inland waters, the original ancestor of cormorants seems to have been a fresh-water bird. They range around the world, except for the central Pacific islands. Tried to get this one on the wing.
